Dr Debashish Munshi is Professor of Management Communication at the University of Waikato. His interdisciplinary research, informed by critical theory and postcolonial theory, focuses on the intersections among issues of communication, diversity, ethics, sustainability, and science and technology. He is co-author of Reconfiguring Public Relations: Ecology, Equity, Enterprise (Routledge), and co-editor of the Handbook of Communication Ethics (Routledge) and On the Edges of Development (Routledge) and has written numerous articles in top international journals such as Citizenship Studies, Management Communication Quarterly, New Media & Society, Futures, Health Communication, Cultural Politics, and Public Relations Review. He has also been co-Principal Investigator of a major project on Sustainable Citizenship: Transforming Public Engagement on New and Emerging Technologies funded by the Royal Society of New Zealand’s Marsden Grant. Before moving to Academia, Debashish was a senior journalist in India.
