Rose is a fourth-year student at the University of Canberra studying a double bachelor’s degree in Business and Arts, majoring in International Business and Global Studies. Her time at university has developed an understanding of how our globalised world connects within various markets across international borders. As well as the importance of gaining a global awareness of the implications behind political and economic policy on social and ecological issues. Rose Is currently interning at the Centre for Deliberative Democracy and Global Governance to help run the Australian Citizens’ Jury on Genome Editing, she hopes to develop her writing and communication skills throughout this program, together with researching the importance of deliberative democracy and citizen juries within particular societal issues.

Once finishing her studies Rose hopes to start working within the business industry to ultimately gain experience and work towards joining corporate engagement in humanitarian action. Rose has shown passion for humanitarian work as she has accomplished two volunteer programs in Ghana and Zimbabwe expressing driven community engagement and self-initiative. Rose looks forward to learning more and applying current skills to the Australian Citizens’ Jury and Deliberative Democracy.
