Kei Nishiyama

Kei Nishiyama studies deliberative democracy with a specific focus on the role of children and young people. Kei worked at the University of Canberra and the Australian National University and will join the Doshisha University, Japan, from April 2020. His current research project includes a practical application of deliberative theories to Japanese and Australian classrooms. His works are published in Journal of Public Deliberation, Journal of Youth Studies, International Social Research Methodology, and so forth. He is one of the book review editors of The Journal of Deliberative Democracy (formerly Journal of Public Deliberation) and has written for mainstream publications including The Sydney Morning Herald.
