Luisa Batalha has a BA and MSc in Psychology from Stockholm University, Sweden and a PhD in psychology from Uppsala University, Sweden. Following the completion of her PhD (2008), she was awarded a competitive 2-year grant from the Swedish Research Council to conduct postdoctoral research work in Department of Psychology at the Australian National University.
She joined the Centre for Deliberative Democracy and Global Governance in 2009 to conduct quantitative analysis on the Australian Citizens' Parliament.
Currently, Luisa works at the Department of Psychology at the ANU. She continues to research on themes related to social identity and deliberative democracy, in addition to research on multiculturalism and prejudice, and the psychology of climate change.
